After a very long flight, we arrived in
Madrid and rented a Jetta. We immediately drove to
Toledo, where we spent two nights.

We stayed in a beautiful hotel that we
highly recommend,
Cigarral de Caravantes.
This is the view from our balcony.

Toledo was beautiful. Lots of little
streets with cute shops and restaurants.
We immediately jumped on some tapas.

Cars DO drive through here. For the
meter-challenged, that street is 4.6 feet wide.

People still live in these old houses and
I don't think they have a clothes dryer.

Typical Spanish old city street. Pretty
crazy.

On the way to Granada to meet the crazy
French friends, we stopped at this little town to see
the windmills inspired by Don Quixote.

We met our French friends in the Granada
hotel.

A part of Alhambra.

Awww.

Cute.

Here you can see the old city in the
foreground and the new developments in the back.

Same here.
I have to say that I did not enjoy the
Alhambra very much. I liked the city much more.
Alhambra is one of Spain's most popular attractions, so
I must be in the minority.
