Pavel and I met Bill at a remote mesa in
central Utah. He had given us the GPS coordinates of the
meeting place, and using both road and hiking GPS units,
we made it there in 10 hours of driving from Los Alamos
(550 miles). Even though 10 hours seems like a lot, the
scenery along the way made it fun.
We spent the next three days four
wheeling and hiking in the Maze District of Canyonlands
National Park. This place is so remote and so beautiful,
both historically and naturally, that it is not possible
to describe the feeling of being there. I hope the
photos will convey some of our experiences.
Below are three galleries with ~90 photos
out of 1400 that I took on this trip. I hope you like
them.
